I am keeping positive that we may soon be getting some movement for IR1/CR1 with the DOS statement that these are now mission critical AND the UK today dropping the alert level to 3 and possibly cutting down the distancing guidelines from 2m..  Although until that visa is in my hand everything is subject to change.

Definitely more positive news for interviews this week

What stage are you at, Is your case still at NVC?

Our case is still at the NVC after almost a month. Hoping they start sending them across to the Embassy this month. Since I'll be taking my cats across with me, I'm hoping things will be sorted by around autumn since there are weather/temperature restrictions on flying as well, summer or winter in Chicago will be too extreme to bring them  😓

DQ April 29th with Expedite approval when Embassy opens.

If they are cancelling K1, are they going to reschedule the Cr/ir 1 interviews that were cancelled.

We’re not going to be there for my son to start school 😔 so I’m hoping by October half term it’s all sorted

I got DQ'd in May and I am waiting for the interview date which will be booked by NVC, when I check online it says my case is still with NVC

We are in the same position then. Hopefully we will hear some good news this week!

That would be amazing, I just want the date so I can start making plans I'm so fed up with treading water.  Just out of interest what was your PD?  Mine is 12th August 2019

I know that feeling, but I’m lucky enough to be kept busy with work which is passing the time. Hopefully booking the medical will be straightforward once we get a date.

Our PD was 02/03/20 - we applied online and lucked out that we were approved so fast, we didn’t expect it all especially after being transferred to Nebraska from Texas.

Wow Nebraska, you did well then.  I was Potomac and a bit too early for the online filing which I definitely would have done. I cant complain though when I got approved it was sent to the NVC the same day.. just took bloody ages to get approved.  Fingers crossed for good news this week, I have to stay positive.

Congratulations! Are you a rescheduled interview? We only just got DQ earlier this week so am expecting quite a backlog but it is good to know the embassy is starting to conduct interviews again! When my partner called yesterday they told him they don't have any information about when they will reopen.

Hey thanks.  I booked mine towards the middle or end of may for august tenth, there was two weeks to choose from for available dates.  I know someone who booked after me and has it on the 3rd or 4th I think.  Fingers crossed you get yours soon.

The person you quoted with an August interview is doing consular processing and did not go through NVC or submit documents or get DQ. Their petition was approved by the USCIS office in London. They made their own interview appointment online. The embassy is not “open” yet and not conducting interviews. The July and August interviews people have scheduled themselves will be cancelled if the embassy is not able to open .

When would they cancel them? Like how much notice do you think they'd give? I booked the appointment after lockdown started and didnt see any notice on the site or confirmation that they may cancel it.  Worried now. Lol

I had an interview booked for 6th July and got in cancelled on Friday just gone. I've also seen someone in a thread say they had theirs cancelled not even less than 24 hours before the interview but I think that was due to the embassy closing. I'd like to think they give a good time between cancelling and the interview lol !

Some K1s have been cancelled and emails indicated they weren’t doing K1s. I would think a week’s notice might be given.

see starting at a post on Friday

For reference, I've had 3 cancelled appointments and each time I've received 2 weeks notice.
