Evidence of support with K3 Visa

This might be a silly question, but i emailed the Johannesburg Consulate indicating that i had the following items in regard to evidence of support in order to confirm that nothing else was needed:

I864 completed by my husband in May 2007

Letter from employer

Payslips for a few months

Tax returns and W2's for previous 3 years.

They replied and told me that the I864 does not need to be submitted to them during my consular interview, but will be needed for AOS in the US.

My question then what is classified as evidence of support-what is the burden of proof for my husband and I?

Any help, appreciated!

Removal of conditions:

I751 sent to CSC via express mail with signature request 12/08/09

Infopass appointment to get one year extension stamped into passport 12/14/09 Issued, no problems

Cheque cashed 12/10/09

I797 Notice of action dated 12/09/2009 received 12/16/09

I797 C Notice of action dated 12/17/2009 received 12/22/09

Biometrics appointment 01/14/2010 11:am

"Touched" 01/15/2010

Email received - Card production ordered 03/22/10

Approval letter received 03/22/10, Decision date 03/18/10

03/24/2010 Approval email

03/27/2010 Card received!

I believe for the visa interview you need an I-134 and submit the financial documents you mentioned. The 1-134 must be notarized & sent to your husband so he can take with him to interview.

The response you received from the consulate is correct, the I-864 is for the AOS process.
