Slightly off topic but along the same lines .. pictures of crowd filled customs and immigration halls overnight  at ORD and DFW.. filled with travellers arriving back from Europe, waiting for entry processing ..

welcome the the biggest COVID incubator we can legally provide to people entering the US!  What were those in charge of this process thinking  .. not with any great insight obviously !  Words mean nothing when practices create situations like this ! 🤬

In a life or death emergency situation, I do believe you can get humanitarian parole. It's up to the government to decide case by case.

This might sound controversial at first, but the betterment of the majority isn't always legitimate to overrule the civil liberties of the other few. I tend to question and think critically whenever I hear people say something has to be done or taken away from somebody for "the greater good." Those three words are used to justify actions more often than you think.

As far as the Coronavirus goes, a rational approach to this issue is important. The virus is here in most states and will spread with domestic travel alone.

there are countries in Europe who are also restricting travel, Europe right now is considered the epicenter of covid-19. your family over there would probably have a higher chance of getting it in the near future than you would.

that will change, but that is how it looks right now

Under normal circumstances, yes.  But a national emergency can also suspend "humanitarian" parole.......sometimes, the risks are just too great...

That's why I said case by case. Serious and thorough screening can be done before a parole is granted. One thing I want to point out is that Americans who come back from high-risk areas are no different than non-Americans from that area except citizenship. Many more Americans are still coming back from Europe and possibly spreading the virus just as many more Americans are dying of flu in the meantime.

Vail Resorts has an Australian operation, so if you have a season pass there you can also use it in the US, well there are black out dates, Vail Resorts owns many of the resorts, they closed for a week yesterday. Big issue where I am.

Pretty much all Colorado ski resorts are shutting down i believe? Positive case in Aurora who visited our castle Pines gym.   We're deep cleaning today.

This is the time to think positive, I am booking 1 dollar flights all over the US. Every weekend I am flying to a different city. Don't miss out on a chance to get around for pennies on the dollar. I booked round trip to Miami from Vegas for 2 tickets for 32 dollars, I booked LAS to Dallas the next weekend for 2 Tickets for 26 dollars, I booked a flight the next weekend From LAS to Cleveland for 30 dollars. The best yet was 2 round trip tickets to San Diego for only 10 dollars. Spirit and Frontier are the key, purchase at the airport and it's like flying for free. And to top it all off the tickets are fully refundable. It's a no lose situation!

This Covid-19 stuff is so blown out of proportion it is unbelievable. It's no worse than the Flu, you don't close down a country because of the Flu. US is blowing 50 billion buying people toilet paper and hand sanitizer, can't wait to see my taxes go up for that. Next they will be taking more of our rights away ( Like after 9/11) because it's in our best interests, and to keep us safe from ourselves.

If everyone would just man up and stop being the sheep they want you too, everything would be fine. I've seen more bodies scraped out of cars of people killed by drunk drivers since January than Covid-19 has killed in the US. But is there a outcry to stop drinking and driving, of course not.

Probably, I was in the Supermarket when the Vail announcement came around, a lot of people where I am are impacted by this. Certainly yesterday it was just Vail  but the assumption would be others would follow, they would be overwhelmed otherwise. Vail operate Breckenridge, my nearest. Certainly took a large chunk of the Colorado capacity out.

Sorry but this is a horrible advise and idea. You might get the Corona virus or you could spread the virus to others. Staying put at home and not spreading the contagion is the sane idea. Just see what Patient 31 did in South Korea.

It's nuts, I'm pretty sure I already had the virus. I was in China at ground zero for work back in November of last year for almost a month before anyone was even aware of this whole covid-19. I got home and was miserable for like 3 days ( Flu, aches and pain, a decent fever) but after the 3 days I was feeling good again, no issues, thought it was a case of the flu, and I'm still alive and here. I've had hangovers last longer!!! LOL.  So, Take it from a survivor, you can get thru it!!!!
