okay guys I don't think I've ever needed advise more so that rn. So I was due to fly like 2nd/3rd April on a K1 visa and marry my fiance (haven't booked travel yet), I have my visa and the envelope all ready but now they have banned all flights to the US from UK starting Monday. My family is telling me to go now as the ban is only 30 days now but could be extended to be longer of course, no one knows. Then I risk my visa expiring which happens in July (I am aware they would likely make exceptions but still, it would be a massive process I am sure and we all know how this via process is anyway).

I know it's only like 3 weeks earlier than usual, but god this is restarting my whole life. I wanted more time to prepare and say my goodbyes but at the same time I don't want to risk my visa expiring and losing this opportunity we have fought so hard for. I know no one can tell me how log this ban will last etc, but based on my situation, what would everyone advise?

When I say my head is scrambled I mean it, this is crazy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would go now assuming nothing crucial remains to be done.

I tend to agree with your family.....Agree with @Boiler.....No one here can tell you what to do......it seems you have all the information needed to make a personal decision...good luck.

I also agree with @Boiler and @Lucky Cat as well as your family, if you have the means and ability, head out ASAP.  Hopefully, all will blow over by the time you get your AP or GC then you and your spouse can go back and have a nice celebration with your UK family and friends.

Good Luck!

Personally, I think that is a wise decision...🙂

Can you get on insurance through your fiancé’s work? If so, start figuring out how soon you can marry so you qualify as a spouse.

I will find out, we're gunna just get married in a courthouse ASAP just because I want to be able to come back to visit the UK when this has all settled down. If not could I just get travel insurance?

Travel Insurance won’t do for many reasons that have been explained before. Just don’t have time to elaborate now.  You pack and say your goodbyes. Have him sort out when, how to get the marriage license and an officiant to marry you. It doesn’t have to be in the courthouse by a judge.  I married my fifth day in the country. Had a 3 day waiting period mandated by my state. Have him or his family get that figured out.

Basically you are immigrating not travelling and will be residing in the US not in the UK.

Married asap and get added to your spouses cover, there are other options, none of them are good.
