Good to hear. You talked to a level 2 officer about the appointments in Boston?

Thank you. I spoke with an organization supporting immigrants for citizenship applications. I will call Level 2 officer tomorrow, if February filers are getting interviews, there must be something wrong with my case. I need to figure it out.

Not necessarily true...most times interviews/appointments don't go in order. It happens very frequently that some who filed weeks ahead of you may get something first. But it's always good to call and ask. If you call make sure it's before 11AM, for some reason level 2 officers don't take any calls after that time.

Hi. I figured I would give you some hope. My wife is filing to be a citizen after 14 years of living here. She filed on Feb 9th online. Her biometrics appointment was on March 3rd. Her original interview date was scheduled for April 7th. That appointment was canceled April 1st. She just got her new interview date July 20th. It is scheduled for 8/14 in Boston. So hopefully they are working through the list.

Thank you so much for sharing this

My application was on 15th of February. Hopefully I will get something soon 😆

Good news! Boston is moving.

I received an email about my interview, there was no documents online, so I called USCIS to learn the date/time. A nice person on the phone told me it's mid September. Hopefully they do the oath on the same day. I cannot wait to become a citizen of this beautiful country.

Great! Good to see movement. I wish this site had a Lawrence, MA option for the timeline because it only lists Boston :/. ...anyone else here Lawrence based?

what does it mean? They could not find your biometrics?

I did my biometrics on July 11th 2019. So they are reusing those from i751 and applying it to n400. Versus going in the ASC for a new biometrics.

ohh I got you. It means your case is moving, it's good to know.

I have done biometrics in Feb 2020. I hope I will get something from USCIS. Nothing had changed for me since Feb.

Yeah finally. I'm in Lawrence which is kind of hard to track on this site.

So today was my wife’s interview. I figured I would report back the process. The interview was very easy she said. We arrived early for her 9:30am appointment. She tried to enter at 9:05 and was denied. They told her to come back at 9:15. Once inside it was a short wait and she was brought into a office. The office had plexiglass around the desk to separate her and the interviewer. There was an iPad off to the side as well. He asked a bunch questions confirming her information (address, birth date, etc). The test was administered verbally. He asked 6 questions and then the written part of the test was done via the iPad. He asked a lot questions regarding the affiliations on the form to confirm she was not a member of any bad group. He asked her about taxes (does she pay, when is it due, etc) but did not ask to see any documents (tax statements, marriage certificate, etc) we had prepared. As always, you spend time making sure you are prepared but it never gets used. Better to be safe than sorry. The only thing he requested to see was her green card.

After that he told her she was approved and she would receive a letter in the mail within 10 days regarding the time and date for the Oath ceremony. He said they are not doing them onsite.

The interview was done in about forty minutes. He was really nice she said and it couldn’t have gone smoother.

I can’t thank this forum enough because it helped answer so many questions over the last fourteen years during this process. I hope everyone has the same experience when their turn is up.
