I have my interview on Mar 22 and I have planned non-refundable vacation from Apr 22 - May 1. I am really hoping that this is not going to conflict with oath ceremony 😩

You might be in trouble then. Boston has never done same day ceremonies. Hopefully it’s after your trip. Good luck.

Did you get the same officer as adjustment of status or different officer? I adjusted at Boston field office so wonder if I will be the same officer

We did the AOS years before, so it wasn’t the same person. I doubt you will get the same person but you never know. The ceremony is done by a judge. Not an officer.

Two people I know of had interview today on Boston. First one got approval and they sent him to a ceremony today. The other one got approval and got scheduled for ceremony in 4 weeks.

what times were their interviews, ours is at 2:30 pm, i dont see that as a same day ceremony. were they hard on them?

The one that was same day was at 7:45 am and the officer said the 9am ceremony is full but if he can wait for 10 am he can do today. I am not sure the second one but he said when he walked out the building he got notification of approval and also oath scheduled. So it sounds like either way you should know when it will take place relatively quick.

Both interviews were around 10 min and easy. I think naturalization is usally only tough if you have issues since adjustment of status, like divorce of green card sponsor, out of country too long, crimes etc. if you had issues with adjustment of status they may bring it up but I don’t think it will be a problem. If no issues then I think very easy.

Can you please post your experience after your interview? I have mine on the 22nd. Good luck!

Got back from JFK Building about an hour ago. They were an hour and 15 Minutes late but all is good. Oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Asked her 6 questions,

What are 2 cabinet positions

Who is the Commander of the military                                      Reading test was "How many senators do we have?"

What is highest court                                                                   Writing was "How many senators do we have? "

What did Martin Luther do

we elect a President for how many years

who is in charge of the executive Branch

went over N400 about names, children names ex spouses Birth Certificates etc etc. No questions about if your a drunk or a commie and such. Review and sign here. In and out in 15 Minutes. Guess he wanted to go home. 2:30 appointment got called at 3:45. They let both of us in the waiting area so didnt have to wait outside.

Congratulations!! That’s great news. Time to celebrate. And yes this does consume your life in the beginning years. I am still here a year later after my wife got approved.
