Hi everyone,

I'm the husband of a Greencard holder who is in the process of submitting all civil + supporting documents for my own Greencard application.

My wife has been living with me while we all wait for my Greencard to be approved. She has a return permit but needs to renew it in the US in a few months.

On that same trip she was planning on adding our daughter, who turns 2 in July, to her name so she can also come with us to the US.

With all these changes coming with the Corona virus I was wondering if she would even be able to complete what she set out to do in the first place.

The plan was for her to go to the US this month for about 40 days, renew her reentry permit, apply for our daughter's Greencard before she turns 2, and then coming back home to help with our move from Spain to the US.

Things that I'm worried about:

1. She will most likely be quarantined, is this home quarantine? Or hospital quarantine?

2. Will she still be able to renew her reentry permit if she is quarantined?

If anyone knows who I could contact to help clarify doubts I would greatly appreciate the help.

Basically I don't want her to go through the whole ordeal of traveling with a baby and being quarantined and then not be able to get anything done while also potentially not being able to come back home for a longer time than expected.

Thanks in advance.

My understanding is that it would be home quarantine unless she was impacted medically by the virus.  I am not sure about renewing her re-entry permit if under quarantine, but the question is if all works out and she heads back to Spain in about 40 days, would she need to renew it?  How long would she be back in Spain?

Good Luck!
