Hi all, my LPR bride and I were going to try and update her passport on our trip to the Philippines in April but flight through Korea was cancelled and now its looking like getting in and out of Manila, not so good. My question is does anyone have any advise on how to renew her passport from the states..... online?

Thanks ahead

It can be done at the consulate that covers the area where you live.  If you live in Seattle, then it would be San Francisco.

You just missed the Consulate's outreach in Seattle at the end of February.

Here is SF Consulate's info on passport renewal:

No online,  requires a face to face with the consulate,  either at their office or an outreach event

YMMV

Can online be done in person.  Check the consulate website for details

it is really easy to do here in the states the outreach or at consulate are both quite easy and fairly quick.  Beats any future issues that may arise and gives you an excuse for a roadtrip

OK, thanks. Looks like we will just wait and do it on our next trip to the PH.

Based on what I have read, it would be much simpler here in the states.

Finally done.

I don't know about the process being simpler in States, we have done it both ways.   I really boils down to logistics.

If the consulate in the states is not far away or there is an outreach event close to you then completing the renewal at a consulate in the States is good.    My wife did the renewal during an outreach event, had the new passport about 4-6 weeks later.

If you are going to be in the Phils and will be there for at least a month anyway I would lean towards DFA .    My wife had her new passport about 2 weeks after the appt at DFA, paid for  expedited processing.
