Kind of, but pirozhki are baked while pierogi tend to be boiled or fried, at least that is what I have experienced.

Are you sure about the last part?  I read somewhere that fish aquarium cleaner was a valid treatment.

   We use UV to sterilize masks. We are using six minutes which should kill everything (hopefully), but I'm not sure how our UV sterilizer compares to the sun.
