Read an article in the local paper about a new Executive Order here in FL regarding social distancing on the water.

"Effective immediately, all recreational boats must be at least 50 feet apart."  

 

Been out on the water the last two days but it is very windy.  Have only seen a few others out.  Should be nicer later in the week.  Been hanging out at a local picnic island with a sandy beach.  Water temp is nice at 83 degrees.  Sitting in the water with my toes in the sand and a beer in my hand.

I've read right here on VJ that doing what you are doing is against the law, and people who violate those laws should be punished!!!

Yes it is true I've done some bad things these past few days.  Maybe I should be made to stay here for several more days and think about my actions.

Anybody see the press conference. where Cuomo blasted Trump for saying ultimately he was in charge and would make the reopen decision. 

 

This is the day after he blasted Blasio, becuse Blasio said he would be the one who decides when Schools reopen.

Personally, I think Trump was trolling the media.  Wasn’t it just a week or so ago the media was suggesting President Trump shut dow the entire country?  Where was Cuomo’s comments after that?  The news conference yesterday was hilarious.

   People on VJ were discussing specific legal restrictions in California, not Florida. Nice try at distorting the facts though.

This is interesting about what's been working and not working in Singapore and Hong Kong and how we're all probably going to need to go from more restrictions to less, and back to more for a bit until we have better treatment or vaccine.

Weren’t the restrictions put in place primarily to alleviate the stress on the health care system?  It seems to have worked.

Yeah, as I said, I think he was just trolling and showing the hypocrisy of the media.  Just last week they were saying he should act like a king and shut down the entire country.

I've seen predictions that periods of shut down and reopening could go as far as 2021-2022 and beyond if they don't find some kind of a working vaccination.
