What is "sprouted" bread -- it's growing fuzzy fungus?

I have learned never to go to more than 2 stores to try to find something.  If it ain't there, too bad.

Helpful hint is to redo Wifey's longer list from stream-of-consciousness into aisle-by-aisle or food-segment order.  Saves time and cart-pushing.

 

Another is to get the meltable/thawable stuff last, so it stays colder by the time you get it home.

 

Another is to ask for "double plastic bags & cram them full."  This means fewer armloads from car into house.

 

For the above advice, that will be $5,000.43, please, or enough reputation points to catch back up to Boiler.

Since SB rebuked me and hurt me so deeply with his typed words, I took the day off the web and grilled some meat, helped a friend change the lower unit oil in his outboard (that stuff STINKS!), and caught some fish for tomorrow night's dinner.  All in all, a very enjoyable, laid-back day without any drama.  Plan to have many more in the coming 6 weeks.

   Actually I did know what it was. I have seen it at home before. I was just giving my wife a hard time about wanting such specific items when there is hardly anything on the shelves. I would have been happy to get any kind of eggs today, but at the same time, I wasn't going to be hitting store after store. I'll try again on Friday. We can do without eggs till then if we have to.
