Dead people don't have jobs. But honestly the economic numbers we talk about on the local news almost every day, and I also see it on the national stuff.

He became ill after attending the Tulsa rally. Crammed right in there and proudly not wearing his mask. Did it to himself really, which is a shame.

It's not a terrible suggestion. I'd like to know the ratio of persons infected that were glasses wearers vs contacts. But from an optical standpoint those in the field were beginning to see early signs of infection in patients coming in with weird damage to their eyes, including blindness. If it's not inhaling, it's absolutely coming from an inability of people to stop touching their eyes. Goggles would stop that in theory, but it's not necessarily practical. I saw a woman not wearing a mask yesterday, and instead she wore a plastic shield. Not actually that helpful. One study showed persons who wore a mask only had the best protection vs someone just wearing a shield. Other studies have shown that entry through the eyes is a very fast route for becoming infected and I wonder if it is those people that wind up with the brain damage. The longer this goes on the more we will be able to study and discover.

My dentist had multiple masks and shield. He's done a lot to his office to cut down on contact and purchased a special purifying system.

Mine also had some type of silver box. Assuming it was a hepa or UV air purifier of some kind

I just dont see that happening.

I have heard reports that as many as 95% of the public has been wearing masks in some areas for months

Press conference had some charts yesterday. 44-45% of people in this state are getting infected because they are going to some big family gathering or sneaking away to some event without a mask. They may be hopefully going out in the general public with a mask, but then they choose to make incredibly stupid decisions later on...

Here's some other interesting studies.

Frazier and her team performed autopsies on deceased COVID victims and found the presence of the virus in the middle ear in the majority of the patients.

Not only could this present symptoms in your ear, this means when doctors do ear surgery or treat ear infections, they should take extra precautions just as much as the doctors who work on the respiratory system.

“The alarm is being raised that hey, this is potentially another way that this virus could present, or that there could be problems down the road,” Frazier said. “This is another potential infectious spread or source, especially within the healthcare setting.”

More and more reports are coming out that show the presence of COVID in the ear can cause hearing loss or vertigo -- even in patients that have no other symptoms.

One study examined the cardiac MRIs of 100 people who had recovered from Covid-19 and compared them to heart images from 100 people who were similar but not infected with the virus. Their average age was 49 and two-thirds of the patients had recovered at home. More than two months later, infected patients were more likely to have troubling cardiac signs than people in the control group: 78 patients showed structural changes to their hearts, 76 had evidence of a biomarker signaling cardiac injury typically found after a heart attack, and 60 had signs of inflammation.

These were relatively young, healthy patients who fell ill in the spring, Valentina Puntmann, who led the MRI study, pointed out in an interview. Many of them had just returned from ski vacations. None of them thought they had anything wrong with their hearts.

“The fact that 78% of ‘recovered’ [patients] had evidence of ongoing heart involvement means that the heart is involved in a majority of patients, even if Covid-19 illness does not scream out with the classical heart symptoms, such as anginal chest pain,” she told STAT. She is a cardiologist at University Hospital Frankfurt. “In my view, the relatively clear onset of Covid-19 illness provides an opportunity to take proactive action and to look for heart involvement early.”

The other study, which analyzed autopsy results from 39 people who died early in the pandemic and whose average age was 85, found high levels of the virus in the hearts of 24 patients. ((this means the disease was still alive and growing long after the patient died!))

Not all immune systems are the same, elderly people, even if in good shape, need to understand they aren't superheroes, and take precautions, especially because this virus is especially harmful to them. I hope its a wakeup call to any elderly people or immunocompromised person around the Trump campaign and/or in his cabinet. Trump had better understand that the virus doesn't care if you're President or some lowly elderly person in an elderly care facility, you die all the same.

Herman Cain was the same age as (actually a few months younger than) Trump when he died. I agree that Trump needs to be doing more to protect his health. I may not like the man at all, but I take no pleasure in anyone's poor health or death.

Well there was a video of the crowds to see the VP today. Again so many elderly people and not wearing masks. They keep talking about younger people not taking it seriously, but my goodness us kids that are running around every day trying to look after our parents are getting frustrated to no end when they don't take their health situation when it comes to this seriously. My dad's friend from the Keys wants to come up and visit. My dad told him sorry no, it's not safe and he has too many risks, and the guy freaked out. I always have to call this guy to tell him when my dad is in the hospital and how would he feel if he was responsible for him not making it? I'm like.... you know you guys can Skype or something right?
