It's not, and I think you asked me about this a couple weeks back? A very particular type of high-weave quilting cotton should be used along with several layers of polypropylene fabric and or non-woven interfacing for filtering or you could use HEPA grade materials. I've dived into enough studies and I'm confident this is the best bet. Should always be used with distancing, handwashing, DO NOT TOUCH the eyes, take the mask off carefully and wash it/bleach it/boil it.

Oh and btw Hammer: COVID has actually been hitting the Amish community. Those that are willing to seek out a doctor (and there's differing opinions on this) won't seek out testing to confirm their illness. They are at particular risk because of various health issues, multi-generational households, and a lack of awareness about infection control. PA has hired some contact tracers that speak the language. This has also affected them from an economic standpoint too, like everyone else.

I put on my surgical mask today. I pulled it back and took a big draw from a vape pipe. I then sealed my mask again and exhaled. A vape cloud exploded from every seam of the mask. Hmmmmm

or boating and enjoying life like normal people.. I am at work around 45 hours  per week. Only actually work at the flat most 10 of those hours. I won't even go into VORs cush schedule. 

 

You know I was just messing with you. As I have said before you guys have unfathomable overhead. My doc and his son are my 2 doc office. They have to have 10 or more  people working for them  Dad is about 62 or so and is starting to spend more time putting around his farm. 

 

I had my back lower right molar 32? getting really bad. Lots of decay. I just dont want to go in until my appointment because of corona, and I am sure working someone in disrupts things right now. I could feel food packing under it etc and knew it was a lost cause. It got lose the other night.  I took a 10/325 and  pulled it out.  My wife has a crown that fell off, but we are both scheduled to go in this month.

 

speaking of overhead. My boss shared with me the other day our nut is over 650K per month. Ouch

I have mad respect for the Amish but have always found the shun modern convinces thing odd. At one time many of the things they use were modern conveniences. At what date in history, did they proclaim, anything made after today is not of the Lord.

I knew you'd do it the best way feasibly possible.  And I do recall a chat about it in the past, but like many things after I fall asleep a couple of times, it gets fuzzy.   That's how I know I am close to NBs age...

 

I mentioned the cloth thing because I see SO MANY around here with neck gaiters, or "masks" made from t-shirt like material, wearing them like they are doing some good.  But i read a study from Vietnam back in 2015 that showed people exposed to ILI who were wearing either no mask, a surgical mask, or cloth mask, that those wearing cloth masks got the sickest, followed by no mask, and of course surgical masks provided the most protection (of course I'm paraphrasing here: google Vietnam cloth mask study and I'm sure you will understand what they say better than my words).
