While I don’t for a minute think big cities will go away, I believe the trend lately was toward more urbanization, and I was curious if this virus episode would slow or reverse that trend.

On another note, do you think the EU will rethink Schengen?

Depending on how bad this gets, there may be some things that people approach differently in the future. I have talked to a lot of people who just buy food or toiletries a few times a week and don't keep anything at home. I guess there's always been the appearance that we didn't need to do more, but the reality is we are only one panic and a couple of days away from being without things.

It's also often the case that the lessons learned from these type of events are short lived though.

Adam Schiff is a hero to some here as well.  Regardless, if someone is taking medical advice from any Congressperson, unless that Congressperson also happens to be a Dr., they get what they deserve.

As I have seen hospital admissions go from 1 to 2 to 4 to 8 over the last few days, I couldn't help thinking of that math trick where they double a penny every day and end up with a million dollars in a month. It will not take much for this thing to blow up faster than we can respond. Maybe it already has.

Reading reports out of Italy that there are a lot of people even in their 20's and 30's who need to be on ventilators. They are likely to survive as long as they can get help breathing. Unfortunately there are not enough ventilators, and they are already having to triage who gets treated and who doesn't.

I agree with that, but I expect congress people to act responsibly in times like these. If they don't know what they are talking about, they should listen to someone who does.

I went tom y local cheddars last night. It was very good . They satized the tables. The menus and had no condiments on the table. You had to ask for them.

He is not right. He is dead wrong. You just haven't seen why yet.

No one needs to panic, but people do need to change their approach. I do think if the infection rates keep going up, it's only a matter of time before we have a quarantine like Italy in place.

You'll hopefully appreciate the effort if you make it through without harm. We all will.

Of course, no doubt we will all be psychologically traumatized from this sort of giant experiment, as a nation.

Now does anyone know anyone I can get some chicken from? I feel like I'm living through wartime rationing where I have to start mixing sawdust for flour. I'll trade you some car crash gifs. 😉
