Crossover coronavirus/riots post:

Got back an hour ago from Target -- just before curfew. My first time outside since... the 23rd? (Self-isolation, then early curfew yesterday.) I went to the big one in Culver City because we were out of so much stuff -- I can report that shelves were fully stocked with everything, including toilet tissue and hand sanitizer.

Anyway, I was in what was a very long line, snaking around the side of the building, but it was moving quickly. About five minutes in, some guy around my age in jean cutoffs and no shirt, riding a bike, started circling beside the line, screaming, "THIS IS TYRANNY! THIS IS TYRANNY! THE GOVERNMENT IS ONLY DOING THIS TO CONTROL YOUR MIND! FREE YOURSELF!" I yelled at him to get a life, the guy behind me told him to get lost.

The screaming guy yelled back, "THERE IS NO REASON TO WEAR A MASK OR LINE UP! TAKE OFF YOUR MASKS AND JUST RUN IN! THEY CAN'T STOP YOU!" And another man yelled back, "The reason is science, you moron! And nobody's gonna storm Target!" Then a bunch of people yelled "science!" and then a chant of "SCIENCE! SCIENCE!" went up.

The shirtless guy sneered, "Science? F--- science! Yeah, I said it, f--- science! Take off your masks and go take what you want from in there!" People booed him and he eventually rode away to cheers.

Here's the site where those who chose masks and tyranny today lined up to buy Cottonelle instead of looting without their masks 🙄:

Solidarity with Antifa and the Nike looting crew.

On another note, got back the results yesterday, negative on Wuhan virus test, which wasn't a surprise.

Basically, if I get any sort of general symptom associated with the virus, whether it be cough, sneezing, headache, etc., if it's designated a "new" symptom I should call healthlink and be stuck at home for another 10+ days or until another confirmed negative test. To hell with that.

Science, eh?  You mean the same science we've been living with for the past 10 decades that didn't have us wearing masks?

Don't be so gullible, I say.

The World Health Organization (WHO) and other global health experts are pushing back against a prominent Italian doctor’s claim that the coronavirus is becoming less potent.

Professor Alberto Zangrillo, the head of intensive care at San Raffaele Hospital in Lombardy, Italy, Sunday told Italian press that a study conducted by his colleague had shown the virus was losing its potency and that the new coronavirus “clinically no longer exists.”

No. Sandwiches are only for home consumption. :)

I made some beautiful focaccia on Monday but it has been devoured already, so no bread items at home at the moment anyway.

I thought this was a dubious claim. Since the intensity of the infection is at least partly related to the infectious does, and people are taking steps to minimize that exposure, it is difficult to conclude at this point based on limited observation that it is the virus itself that has attenuated.
