Professional Sports/Leagues cancelling/postponing play due to Wuhan virus/Coronavirus/COVID-19

They're piling up:

The NBA has suspended their season until further notice after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tests positive. A few teams including Raptors told to self-quarantine over the next 14 days:

Preliminary reports say UEFA is going to postpone the Champions League and Europa League (probably another "until further notice" situation), which includes the Europa League matches today. For those unaware, these are European football (soccer) superleagues where the best teams from a plethora of European leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, etc.) play against each other:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8104453/Champions-League-Europa-League-UEFA-declare-suspension-club-competitions.html

A number of other football (soccer) matches throughout Europe are being played in empty stadiums/arenas. The PSG-Borussia Dortmund Champions League match yesterday was noticeably without anyone in stands. The MLB is, for now, moving locations for games, but people are expecting some sort of announcement today.

Tennis is expected to shut down for 10 weeks:

NHL BoG meets today. They already are starting to play games in empty arenas, but its another league where people are looking to on where they're going from here.

I bet Liverpool wish this had had happened before last night.

My Football team is currently top of its league, our best performance for many a year, so this is to be expected.

I guess a consolation is, it was Atletico, which has a reputation for being underrated on paper and knocking top teams off their perch.

Could've been Lyon or Valencia.

I was really upset today when I turned on the ACC tournament only to find talking heads talking about the tournament shutdown

In case it isn't clear what being a dumbass looks like and the consequences of it:

I keep hearing that Mitchell is also upset at Gobert as well but don't find any proof.

Either way, whether or not he was taking this seriously, and whether or not the league would've shut down anyways because of the spread, those are deliberate acts that in all likelihood are going to cost the league serious money.

Chances are, it will involve toilet paper.

My wife said I could only use one square today when I went into the. bathroom.  I asked, "Seriously?"  She said, "Yes, and make sure to separate the two plies.
