I have couple of questions.i am going to sponsor my father as US citizen in next couple of weeks.he is 60 year old.will US embassy look at his age, health,education,financial status before giving him visa?he only finished high school and that too more than 30 years ago.he just owns shop back home.my financial situation here is not that strong either.i am living with my in laws and I don't own home.should I get private insurance for my father even before submitting petition for his green card here in US.?private insurance is so expensive in US.what are the chances him getting approved for visa from US embassy?

60 now suggests he will be retiring to the US? Or is there another plan?

 

Obviously someone of that age is unlikely to pay enough into the system to get much in the way of US benefits, so I would focus on explaining how he will be funding himslef, you do not need to buy anything before a move and as you have not filed yet that will in any event be someway off.

 

You certainly need a plan and that plan will be very helpful in addressing any immigration issues.

Yes, the embassy will take into account his  age, education, work history, finances, language, etc. They will also take into account your finances and your ability to sponsor him.

if that's case then we are going to have too many red flags to begin with.he just finished high school.he is already 60 years old

we have couple of family members going to file for their family members living abroad currently in different actually we cannot afford lawyers so we thought some people might help us with these immigration process so we posted questions here
