Has anyone else notice that the I-751 processing dates are missing? Nothing about this orginization at this point suprises me.

No movement in almost 6 months on our application. Go Nebraska.

Marilyn and Peter.

K-1 Timeline in Profile (our story)

Church wedding Sept 18

NOA1's for AOS/EAD received Sept 20 MSC #

Biometrics completed Nov 5 2004

EAD Approval Dec 29 2004

AOS appointment letter received Feb 3 2005

AOS interview scheduled for March 9 2005

AOS interview mostly fine, just need I-693 supplement filled out by civil surgeon

Spend another $40 for I-693 form, sent to local USCIS office registered mail, arrived March 11 2005

AOS finally approved March 25th 2005

Green card arrives about 10 days later

!!Green card has incorrect middle name!! Thanks USCIS

Travel back to Denver, turn in card and I-90 to correct their mistake.

Application accepted, asked for I-551 stamp, they told me "We don't do stamps anymore"

NOA1 for I-90 received from NSC April 18 2005, fee waived

NSC appears to have stoped processing I-90's

Marilyn needs to travel back to the RP, call Senators office for help with green card or I-551 stamp

Travel back to Denver July 1, 2005 and received I-551 stamp in the passport.

I noticed too that the I-751s are missing (except for VT), and I wonder what is going on. And the processing time in VT is ridiculous - about a year!

Notice: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has improved the reporting procedure for processing times of immigration benefit applications. In the past, USCIS benefit processing reports indicated the specific type of applications or petitions that were being processed and the date the cases were received. However, the date the case was received did not provide a clear indication of when USCIS expected to complete the case, nor did it provide a clear indication of USCIS’ commitment to process cases within a certain cycle time. It also did not align with the processing times and cycle times the agency reports in other contexts.

This improved reporting procedure is an effort to give our customers more accurate information that better reflects current processing time and USCIS service level commitments. Effective immediately, when we are completing applications and petitions within our service level goals we will report that as the processing time. For example, when our service level goal is to process a particular kind of case within six months, and if our processing time is six months or less, we will show a date consistent with our service level goal because that reflects our commitment.

When we are not meeting our service level goal, the date posted will reflect the filing date of cases that are being completed. It should be noted that while in some instances reported processing dates may appear to have regressed due to this change, they do not reflect a lengthening of USCIS processing times, but simply the change in reporting. Our goal is to provide accurate projections and thus give customers clear expectations as to what they can expect as a processing time.

There are several important exceptions to the processing times shown below:

Case processing will be delayed if we must ask you for more evidence or information.

If we ask for missing required initial evidence, count the processing time from when we receive that missing evidence.

The case processing timeframe will start over if a customer doesn't appear for an interview or asks that it be rescheduled.

As in the other thread.. this probably means two things based on what happened with I=130's and I-129F's in the past couple of years...

1) All I-751's will now be processed at VSC probably starting July 1 (the ones already at the SC's will stay there with probably some accelerated processing of some sort to clear their inventory and use the adjudcators for something else) This is in line with their goal on the service centers processing from a certain geographic jurisdiction perspective (One SC processes all petitions from a certian area) to a functional jurisdiction perspective (i.e. CSC processes all I-130's and I-129F's, NBC processes all I-485's, NSC processes all Asylum Paperwork, etc.)

2) The processing times reflect their service goal of one year to process an I-751. This is no different than how USCIS reports the processing times of the I-129F and the I-130.

This explanation really makes me confused. Even to native English speakers I showed, they were confused. Honestly it looks to me this is written to be utterly confusing to people, its saying nothing new that I can see, just stuff to confuse, I feel bad for foreign people trying to read this and understand fully, I barely could... or it's just only me who is confusing!!

Indeed, it tells us nothing and leaves us a bit up there doesn't it? I called Nebraska and they weren't able to tell me anything more. The lady I spoke to told me it must be a technical glitch but said that she presumes the case processing times for the I-751 in Vermont would be close to that of Nebraska. She couldn't confirm whether applications would be now processed in Vermont or not.
