Hi guys,  I need help. My wife filed the i-130 25th Feb 2019 and later filed the k3 22nd November 2019. Our i-130 is past a year and has still not been approved. Do you think it's because the k3 process has been slowed down? Can we withdraw the k3 and maintain the i-130? Will the withdrawal affect the i-130? All our cases are in NEBRASKA

Hi,

i don’t think the K3 have anything to do with your wait time at Nebraska .it helped to speed up the process  few months ago ( it helped me to have my i-130 being look at it ) but obviously it’s not so much the case anymore .
the goal of the K3 is to have the SC to look faster at your I-130
Nebraska is way backlogged that’s why you still didn’t heard anything .
honestly ,I don’t think that withdraw  the K3 will help but I am not 💯 sure sorry

with Nebraska the main word is Patience sadly . But recently they transferred some cases to other SC so maybe soon or they will transfer you or they will get faster .

good luck !

This was a so called trick that lasted a month or two. But since November it hasn't worked at all that I know of. But I wouldn't pull it right now. You are still within standard processing timelines so don't worry

The I-129f only has a slightly faster processing, by a few months.  By waiting 9 months to file the I-129f, it really wouldn't have helped.  The processing times for I-130s at Nebraska are now 12.5-16 months, putting your application approval around March-June 2020.
