Hello everyone,

This is my first time here and I am a bit troubled. My husband is a permanent resident of hawaii but he often change his apartment so when he filed the AOS he used my sisters address which is in Illinois as the mailing address and his current address as the physical one. When the AOS has been submitted and we receive the DS-260 the permanent address indicated was my sisters address. So our problem is where is my port of entry and where should I stay?in hawaii with my husband or my sisters address?please help.me. :(

Assuming your Husband lives in Hawaii I assume that is where you wish to stay.

 

Port of Entry is more a practical issue, coming from the east I assume it would not be Hawaii but somewhere else in the US, from the West I assume Hawaii.

Yes,i would definitely want to be with my husband ,but my sister and mom tells us that I should go straight to Illinois because that is where the permanent address is and it's the place where I will be filing for my SSN and all. So I don't know what to do now.

Many people use a family members address because it's more stable to get mail and list their physical address as where they live.
Where you land is on you has nothing to do with what address you listed on application.
Just be sure you know where you will live if they ask at Port of Entry where will you live.

Hi I put down my address in Florida but moved to a different state. It was no problem. They just sent my green card to my current address which was still a hotel at that time.
