Hey all

So my husband's citizenship was approved 30 seconds after the interviewer approved his 10 year green card. Now they have sent us his 10 year green card. He was asked to hand in his green card at the oath ceremony, he gave them the 2 yr one. But do we need to mail it back or go hand it in or something?

Did this happen to anyone else?

It is my understanding that just prior to Citizenship oath ceremony, you will be asked to return all USCIS cards (Both 2 and 10 years GC, Employment authorization/I-512 Advance Parole card, etc).

Sorry, I just re-read your note.  Looks like your husband has already had oath ceremony...in that case I would call USCIS and ask them for instructions on what to do.

Hahaha don't worry I just reread your note and saw that you had reread mine.... yes I have posted a question through the online portal and will wait to see if I get an answer, otherwise I will try and call them, but if they need to look up his case then he needs to be here to tell them I can talk to them.... and here I thought it was all over....

Hello all! My husband had applied for ROC in April of 2020. After a long wait and not hearing anything from Potomac Service Center other than his fingerprints would be used, we decided to apply for naturalization after seeing those of you who had applied for naturalization saw the case moving after that. Low and behold, almost immediately applying for naturalization, his ROC case was transferred to another service center. On 02/09/22 we were notified that his ROC was approved (no interview), now we are just waiting to hear about naturalization while he studies.

Hi All! Maybe someone had similar experience - after my biometrics have been taken I immideately received notification from USCIS that my case was transferred to the National Benefits Center for processing as part of a standard process. Does anyone know what does that mean and how long it takes for NBS to review/approve the case? It's been siting with USCIS for 2 years already. My 24 months extension letter ends up in mid-June so I wonder if I can potentially get my new card on time.

My process was in Potomac and was transferred for another office in December/21. I’ve been waiting for 2 years too and my 24 months extension letter expires in August.

Hello, Anyone have the experience where the case stuck at " ready for schedule an interview" ( for 2 years) ; then apply for citizenship - then no interview for greencard, but only interview for citizenship, and got approval?
