I raised an inquiry online about my case being outside the normal processing time, "My case starts with SRC"  Texas service centre is now processing cases of October 2020, got a reply by email that i should expect a response by 06/07/2021, waited till the seventh and I didn't receive any response, so i called today, to check on my case, and i was told any inquiry should take a month to be processed....!  so why did they send an email with a specific date to respond?!!!!!

Also I have been told that my case is moved back to Texas service,  after it was transferred to NBC back in October 2020 and then was ready to be scheduled for an interview in November, 2020.

Anyone that their cases was transfer to NBC and then went back again to their original service? and any progress after that?

TIA

I called USCIS and requested to speak with a tier 2 agent, (not sure if that helped to get my case moving) and few days later my N400 application has been scheduled for an interview, so am assuming we will have a combo interview. Hope you hear some progress soon.

What number did you use to dial in? I don't even have my bios rescheduled yet for permanent greencard. So frustrated.

Thanks much! No, not yet, I wanted to get the permanent greencard first and then file for naturalization but if they won't process my permanent greencard until this one expires I will have to file N400.

I would say if there is no specific reason preventing you from applying for citizenship,  you should do!  you will wait for both application simultaneously, and most probably your N400 will speed up both to be adjudicated! just my opinion and my personal experience  so far!

Hello Team. Finally We came to end of our USCIS Journey. Like everyone, we applied ROC Last year and since then we did not see much update, Therefore , we applied N-400 for Naturalization on June6th. After Citizenship application, everything started to move super fast. We got our interview notice for citizenship for August 16.  We were little worried for possible delay because of our ROC application. But everything went very smooth and we did combo interview and got apporoved for 10 year green card and citizenship at the same time. Sharing our experience and timeline to encourage people to apply citizenship.

Hey all some advice please. My husband is currently waiting to hear about his N400 (4 mths since we applied) and his I-751 (1year and 4mths since we applied), his green card expired a year ago and his NOA stating he has 18mths extra will expire in December. He is needing to fly home to Macedonia to pick up his mom so she can visit, but we are concerned there will be issues. Anyone flown under these circumstances?

We are going to call on Friday and see the progress and also ask to speak to a level 2 office (I think thats what everyone recommends).

Thanks so much

My husband has the exact same timeline, no issues traveling to Iran and back USA with green card and extension letter together with an i751 and n400 both pending.

As long as he is back in the USA before the expiration of the extension letter he will have no issues. He will need to be back in the USA for any appointment that may come up during his absence for either case.

If he plans to depart near the expiration date of the extension letter (18 months past green card expiration) then he can get an i551 stamp in his passport, USCIS issues those 30 days before the extension letter expires. (This must be done in USA)

You will not have any problem. you still have 8 more months in the extention. Extention starts with Green card expiration. We recently visited my family in the Turkey with extention letter without any problem (we used Turkish Airlines). I hear some airlines might make some noise but they have to accept extention letter without any problem. I am suggesting Major airlines like Turkish,Lufthansa, Air France etc
