Update:

Spoke to a Tier 2 officer. He admitted their was no letter sent. He said he could refer me to lockbox support for a copy Of my NOA but said it would take forever. He asked me to call back June 4th as offices will be opening and I will be scheduled to go into an office to get a stamp in my passport. 😭 This is a positive but also still all very stressful. Not the response I wanted but I guess it’s something.

What number you dialed to get to Tier 2 officer? And I wonder how a stamp is passport will help?

Well, I’m not entirely sure. I know for sure the extension letter is to be carried if you leave the country. The stamp is the same thing but not in a letter form in that sense. I’m not sure if I can renew my license with this... I will need to call the DMV to confirm. Before going into that, I want to make sure I can get back to an officer to schedule an appointment. I still have my email sitting with lockbox so if all fails I’ll have that to fall back too. I called ‭1 (800) 375-5283‬ customer service. Told the lady my story and she transferred me to a tier 2 officer. That was that... I’ve called many times and never been transferred. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes I did. I submitted it and when I tried to do it again a few days later it said it already had been submitted and I had to wait 30 days before doing it again.

An interesting development though: on the general check status it says case received on April 22nd. But now on the myUSCIS account it says it was received April 27th, not sure why that one is suddenly different (it said April 22nd yesterday).

My date for case received differs from the general case check site and my USCIS account too. I have a 4 day difference.

I guess many of us are in the same boat. Having sent our files but waiting for the NOA notice to come through. I sent my application on April 20th and it arrived at the Lewisville, TX office on April 23rd. It had been over a month and I hadn't received any communication from them. I called USCIS yesterday and spoke to an agent and she helped me a lot by providing my case number and also told me to email the Lockbox to request a replacement receipt. The case number she provided starts with "MSC" so I am clueless as to which Service Center will process my case.

Google the MSC. Mine is YSC which is Potomac. I know... madness! I spoke to someone on a different forum who said she received her 3 months after case received and got a stamp to tie her over. Then her 18 month extension letter expired and had to get further stamps.

So fingers crossed It turns around for us. But I feel like they are clueless of the errors and we have to chase it.

I agree there is a lot of chaos. I googled and found that MSC is the National Benefits Center totally unaware why my application is sent there. Haven't received a NOA yet so sent another email and submitted an online inquiry through my online account. Hopefully will call USCIS on Monday to find out which center is processing it.

My DL is set to expire end of June so hope it comes before that

Tell customer service is due to expire and that’s what transferred me to Tier 2. You won’t be able to schedule any appointments until Thursday. But it’s something!

They usually send applications to MSC to later reroute them to local offices for interview. They’ve systematically have done that for CR1 since late 2018 because we’ve never had an interview with USCIS, only one with the DHS for the visa interview abroad.

so a interview for CR1 is must because we never had it before?

That’s been the pattern, though I think a few people who had their interviews cancelled because of Covid were approved without interview. Who knows what’s going to happen from now on.

I will give them a call today and speak to Tier 2. I raised an online inquiry for NOA and the status says "not assigned for processing". Hopefully it will be assigned to someone soon

Did they state they would be resending you the notice? Mine was to just email lockbox... not helpful. Did that already!

No, they did not. Basically what I understand has happened is I made an inquiry, they opened a case, they assigned someone, this person replied to me that e mail I posted, and the inquiry was closed. I will call them next week hopefully I will be able to get through. My GC expires in mid July.

Ugh! The worst response ever! Yes they did the same to me but said to email lockbox support to obtain a copy of NOA. Mine also expire early July. If you read some of my previous posts. It explains my process with a tier 2 officer and a stamp for my passport. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It all very ridiculous and they should just reissue all NOA for April and May filers. Not that will happen. :(
