How much evidence would you suggest uploading for the online N400 application? If I'm naturalizing under the 3-year PR marriage through a citizen rule, would you suggest uploading all the marriage/living in marital union evidence (lease, tax transcripts, etc.)?

I actually only uploaded the required documents plus my husband's birth certificate to prove citizenship. They don't need all the support documents on your online application, you can just bring them with you when you get your interview date.

Thanks! I've been eligible for a month now but I've been stressing about needing to gather all the documents once again before applying

I will just be uploading docs from Jan 2020 as previous set was already submitted via I751.

Submitting the following - bank statements, mortgage, auto & home insurance, utilities bills and photos. Be mindful that when you upload online they have limits to your document size. My documents are good to go and will start working on the N400 application next week

Minor issues - when I opened a bank account or get my driver's license changed

Thanks!! Did you write up a cover letter too and just upload it as a separate attachment? I'm guessing with a label?

Hello All. My wife and I are April 2019 filers. Our case has been ready to schedule an interview since September 2, 2019 but has been stuck at the NBC since.  We've called numerous times and still have not got any feedback on when our interview will be scheduled. Just called again this morning and after being placed on a brief hold we were told that USCIS is currently working on Feb. 2019 cases and that the best she could tell us is that we'd have to wait another 11-26 months. Not from the time we filed in April, 2019, which is already 24 months. An extra 11-26 months from this date, April, 5, 2021...I know that there is a lot going on in the world and I live by the saying 'It ain't all waiting on you'. But this is ridiculous. Recently contacted our congresswoman. Hopefully that will make a difference. To everyone else in the same boat, and I know there a many, hang in there. It will come to pass.

What is the cover letter used for?

For all of those worrying about last names not matching, support documents, etc. You are stressing too early. The online application only requires a few documents to prove eligibility that you should have handy already like your Green Card, Marriage Certificate, selective service document, etc. All the other documents you will have to bring with you to your citizenship interview. No need to crowd the online service with many different files because they don't worry about supporting documents until the interview day.

I only uploaded the required documents and my case was accepted and biometrics are being reused, once again! Anyone else got a biometrics waiver after submitting N-400?

Thanks for the info and good to know that the biometric was waived and they were able to reuse the old one. Planning to submitting the N400 sometime next week and will keep you posted

Anyone still stuck on the "Case Received" zone..... I am starting to feel like we are stuck in the friend zone and this relationship with USCIS is going nowhere..... I am an MSC filer in Oregon and am moving to South Carolina in a month and would really like some sort of update before the move.

I have seen some people mention biometrics being used and to look under the documents button, maybe I am misunderstanding because I don't see a documents button and have 0 updates since April 22nd 2020....

Thanks all

I think they are referring to the N-400 applications online....

Thanks, I was thinking that but wasn't sure and was going crazy trying to figure out where the documents tab was. Guess I must just get comfortable in the friend zone with USCIS

Haha that’s okay! When does your window open? I know you are moving but did you decide if you will apply now or after you move?

Our window is APril 19th, but I don't want to submit until we have an address in South Carolina otherwise that means I will have to change the address after only a month or so.

Hello All, not sure if anyone here is in the same position as I am but I wanted to describe my situation to see if anyone can give an advise.

I am still waiting for my permanent green card. My biometrics was scheduled back in late December but the letter from USCIS that has the date and time got in my hands on the day I had that interview and there was nothing for me to do but to reschedule it that I did immediately the next day. The letter with request to reschedule was delivered to USCIS in the begging of January but I haven't heard anything yet.

Does anyone know what number I should dial to call USCIS and how long it takes them to respond on such request? I heard they are backlogged and now it takes up to 3 months to process anything.

I would appreciate any thoughts or advise.
