Hello,

So we got an RFE from the uscis london field office asking for 3 affadivits to affirm our relationship, and a copy of our marriage certificate showing it was filed (we sent the one we got at the ceremony). They told us they would complete the processing immediately after they recieved it. Buts it's been over a week now since they got it and we haven't heard anything, and they don't answer our email. Does anyone out here have any experience with RFEs from the london office, and how long they take, do the email you to let you know it was approved or not?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Sorry to hear about the RFE. Take a look at this thread on BritishExpats.com https://britishexpats.com/forum/marriage-based-visas-35/london-dcf-rfe-response-time-923392/page2/. The poster was in a similar position to you last year and it looks like they heard back after just under 2 weeks.

Out of interest, when you initially submitted your I-130, in addition to your un-filed marriage certificate did you submit any other evidence of bona fide marriage?

Hello,

Yea we submitted joint bank accounts, a few years of leases together, and 2 affadavits of friends.

Based on the evidence you submitted, I'm surprised that you received an RFE, but I'm guessing it was because of the un-filed marriage certificate. Hopefully, things should go smoothly from here on out. Good luck to you!
