I’d been fearing or sensing the potential for a couple of weeks...so I’m not that surprised either. Though it is a huge setback for people still waiting who desperately need resolution of their cases for any particular reason.

Just got off the phone with a USCIS rep. All biometrics appointments are indeed cancelled until at least April 1, as published on the official website.

I was initially confused because the "Office Closures" page only showed a handful of Application Support Centers as closed.

Who knows how long everything will take now... It was certainly necessary though. Hope everyone stays safe.

Have a Question .

My fiance have a k1 visa and expired on july .

Still flys from phillipines to usa

I would try to contact USCIS about this. I think by July, things would be getting back to normality but you can only hope. Call in advance, although you may wait a couple of days (or weeks) before calling because right now, they may be working on something regarding visa expiration.

I tried to call the number on my biometrics letter and got stuck in the loop of automated responses. What number did you call to speak to a rep?

I have a biometrics appointment on March 25th and equally confused about the application center near me being open. I wish they would just send out a letter clarifying.

At this point though I think it's safe to assume that the appointment is cancelled but hate not having a clear confirmation from USCIS.

I was impacted but I wasn't notified of a Covid-19 delay.

I am pending the Oath Ceremony.

My interview was on March 5, 8 days before the declaration of national emergency.

I had the N-400 and I-751 combo interview and so far I only received a I-797 stating:

"We have approved your I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. Our records also indicate we approved your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Because we also approved your N-400, you will not receive a new Permanent Resident Card (also known as a Green Card). Instead, once you have taken the Oath of Allegiance, you will receive a Certificate of Naturalization, which will be proof of your U.S. citizenship. If you have questions regarding this process, please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 800-375-5283."

Yours is definitely almost at the finish line. A delayed oath would be crushing and an indefinite separation from elderly parents and fiance would be even worse.

Hopefully it won't get out of control and the disruption is minimal, but I totally understand where you're coming from.

Good luck!

Or those of us who cannot even visit one another due to the fact that USA will not grant a visitor visa even prior to the COVID 19, due to being from a certain country.

Now that there are travel restrictions the option of meeting in another country is gone. So, idk when the next time I will see my husband, much less when the interview will take place.....

So I have a question....... Why have work visa been given so fast compared to marriage visas?   I have never really understood that.
