It’s so depressing. Who’d have ever thought we’d get so close to becoming citizens only to have the ceremony cancelled due to a PANDEMIC 🤦🏼‍♂️

And I think we will only find out by turning up on the day and seeing if the ceremony is on or off. Things are happening so rapidly they are probably making decisions on a day to day basis.

Agreed. So instead of getting all excited driving to the ceremony, we’ll be nerve-wrecking on the way there instead.

Would you mind letting me know if your ceremony happens? Finger crossed.

N-400:

07/19/2019: Applied online

08/07/2019: Biometrics

01/22/2020: Interview scheduled

02/26/2020: Interview.

02/27/2020: Status changed to Approved. Oath scheduled for 03/18/2020

We are in Denver and have citizenship interview scheduled in two weeks. I am terrified this is not going to happen. I feel a shutdown is just on the horizon. This is just agonizing. We thought we were to the finish line. I have never felt more frustrated in my life.

Inconvenience is a part of life.......this will pass.  Unfortunately, there are a lot people suffering significant financial and personal issues due to this virus.

True! We have the schedule for our apointment. Nextweek! We already booked a ticket. Documents are all gathered. But as of today manila flights are suspended! Now i am waiting for THE U.S embassy for their email for further announcement. Maybe they will set for a reschedule apointment. I wish and pray for everybodys safety!

Were actually dealing with the same boat. We have the schedule for apointment nextweek, already have the ticket. And now i received a news that all flight to manila and from manila are suspended. With heavy heart I know interview is imposible. But i would like to think that is best for the safety of everyone. The agony, the butterflies in my stomach will be extended. 😅

somebody in West Palm Beach, FL attended their oath this morning. However it was a small ceremony with only 90 attendees, so it wasn’t a large gathering. I think it will depend on the size of the ceremony. Anyway good luck to you tomorrow @N400NYC

Thank you! Yes, I am sure there will be regional variations depending on size of ceremonies and spread of COVID-19 in a particular area. Unfortunately, NY is near the top of the list (of cases) and things here are being shut down all over the place. I wish I could be more hopeful but just trying to prepare myself for the strong possibility of cancellation.

Thank you. Though NY is a mess so I'm not confident! Saw this posted elsewhere today:

Columbus OH has cancelled their March 26 oath ceremony. Somebody in my FB n-400 group said she received a voicemail from USCIS when she was in the shower this morning telling her that the oath has been cancelled.

I fear it's all downhill from here...

I haven't received any message about mine at this point. I called the Contact Center and the rep said "I don't see anything about it being cancelled" but I honestly I think he was just looking at the status "oath scheduled" on my online account.

:(

The reason I said that is because the Boston cancellation was because two of their employees were exposed to the virus, so the ceremony was cancelled without notifications. The other 3 that we knew about - San Jose, Illinois, and Columbus OH did send out announcement in advance. If you have not heard anything from USCIS, chances are your ceremony will happen tomorrow.
