I have recieved my NOA1 regarding the work permit with a notice date for April 20th 2007, It still hasn't arrived in the mail yet!

My question is, if I still haven't recieved it after 3 months i.e 20th July can i go down and collect it in person form my local office? I am sure I read something like that a while ago.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it!

AOS and EAD Timeline

First Application rejected due to them not receiving $70 for Biometrics, even though I had a receipt from them :-(

NOA1 - 10/01/2007

Biometrics - Middle of October, don't have exact date sorry

I-485 and I-765 Touched - 10/23/2007

EAD Approved - 10/27/2007

If you don't get the EAD within 90 days of filing, then go to the office and they'll request (to the service center where the EAD app is located) that your EAD be processed. it's probably too early for you to be expecting it, usually it's at least 70 days and often even longer.

The local offices aren't handing out interim EAD's anymore. If nothing arrives after the 91st day you can make an infopass appt like Jane mentioned above. Like she said, the only thing the local office can do is call the service center and ask them to process it.

When you have your receipt numbers from your NOAs, you can go here and check on the case status... if you set up an account you can register for email updates and add all your case numbers (you will have separate numbers for the AOS, EAD & AP) to your 'portfolio' - so you can sign in to see if there have been any changes in the case status, or if you've had any touches (ie if the 'last updated' date has changed on your case without the case status actually changing)... good luck with getting the AOS etc filed! :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png
