My spouse just filed the form i-130 online and we were taken to a screen that shows our receipt number beginning with IOE and a message that says "Your benefit request has been accepted and is under review." how long does it normally take to receive the i-797 so we can proceed to filing the i-485 form?

Right, but in this case that I didn’t, do you know what’s next? Like wait period for i-797. I’ve heard people say they got theirs in days

Normally it's a matter of days to a few weeks. Sometimes it can take up to a month.

I did the same thing, filing I-130 online and the rest via mail. My i797 was shown online 2 days after and I just printed that out and sent it in with the rest of my applications. I'd say don't wait for anything in the mail, it could take weeks.

May I ask, when you received the receipts for other applications(i-485, i-131, i-765)?

I mailed everything on February 21st then it shows that they received it on the 24th. The check was not cashed until March 6th though so 2 weeks after everything was mailed.

Thank you for your response. I filied the I-130 (I-130A scanned and uploaded) online on Apr 27. And mailed the package which was signed by USCIS on Apr.30.

However, I did not receive the text messages or Emails from USCIS till now, though I filed G-1145 as well. I am very worry about my package.

I have not been receiving any texts or emails either even though we filed the G-1145 also 😕

I think checking your status online and wait for the notice in the mail is your most reliable source. I think you are on a good timeline though. You don't have anything to worry about right now especially since they signed for it.

Yeah, you are right. I can just wait for the paper receipts now.

By the way, have you checked the I-130 status? Was there any change of  the status after I-797?

Nothing has changed in terms of our I-130 status but i concurrently filed my I-485 and that case status has been updated to "ready for interview"
