There's a big difference between not caring and creating a bio weapon. I'm not saying the Chinese government is good in any way and the way they're treating whistle-blowers is disgusting but it makes zero sense that they will create a virus that will wreck their economy and make them look bad. 

 

I've been around the world, too BTW. And older people are most susceptible to fake news.

Older people are also most susceptible to being involved and invested in the health of their communities. Financial investment, volunteering, voting, etc. all prove that.

 

While those 30 and under are least involved/invested, most susceptible to committing crimes and wreaking havoc on their communities. 

 

Which is why older people are generally respected.

  I know I posted before, but I'll reiterate. Odds are 0% that it was man made. That has been confirmed independently and multiple times. The only thing it could remotely possibly be is a naturally occurring virus that was being researched and breached containment. There are no traces of human engineering or alteration present in the viral genome.

So you can say with 100% certainty that we have been told the whole truth as a world of people?  No chance of someone covering up a bio weapon that was accidentally released?  Or perhaps copying a book written back in 1981?

    Well I said before, I can't rule out that every government in the world is not covering up a conspiracy that the Chinese were attempting to develop a relatively weak, essentially useless and non specific bio weapon and that no one in all of those testing labs has managed to leak the truth. I would put that somewhere on par with the chances of the virus being accidentally introduced by alien lizard beings.

so in your professional opinion, there is zero chance that a virus housed in the Wuhan bio lab (which maintains more than 1,500 viruses) accidentally got out and infected people?

 

I readily admit that I know far less about gene sequencing than you likely do, and there may be a way to say with 100% certainty that this wasn't man made, or that it didn't come from the bio lab... but I think the possibility exists.  And is made even more likely by the fact that the bio lab was damn near right at ground zero.  But sure, it COULD be coincidence.

As to the second, I think it's more likely than a "naturally occurring novel virus" just suddenly showing up, but I agree either is possible.

  They have been showing up naturally since the beginning of time. They will continue to do so. Nowadays we just get to  find out in real time.
