Dear Members,

I am IR-CR1 applicant with PD 4Nov, 2019 and my spouse is a us citizen. Recently our case is transferred from TSC to VSC on 23Feb. I am wondering should we follow Texas timelines or Vermont timeline onward.

I just want to plan our lives accordingly during this journey because there is 10 months difference in their processing time for 1-130.

Thanks

From what I see from other folks and timelines, there is no real estimate that can be followed at the moment. Especially IOE case number approvals are all over the place. I've seen many say to expect response within 3 months after transfer, but with all the movement at the moment I wasn't able to identify a real trend.

For what it's worth, you have more control at NVC stage where you can delay case completion a bit if you're not ready to move.

I hope this helps.

I agree with your analysis. Yes, it is very hard to find a real trend with ioe cases all over the places. There are few areas need to be further explore.

Which service centre’s processing time a transfer applicant will follow? (earlier or newer one)

Why are they transferring cases from a faster center to slower center? ( slower centers are already backlogged due to work load, how this will improve a slower center efficiency )

Some applicants have no idea about case transfer where as some received proper mail.

I was analyzing Igor processing list of I-130 cases at VSC.

I am observing a pattren in all transfered cases from Nebraska to Vermont though they are handful.

7 cases were transferred from Nebraska to Vermont in 2020 as per Igor list. Check out attached image.

VSC approved within 1 month. But this is very limited data available on VJ for VSC.
