Montreal Update Interview Date

Hi. I received the NVC document approval on Nov 1 saying they would forward and set up appt.

Yesterday I received the appt date for April 25.

I am the mother of a U.S. citizen over 21. There was no mention in the email about any pack needed, just to take all the original docs submitted.

Q1: Why are some people still receiving requests for Packs? Isn't all of the information provided online via their new system?

Q2: Does anyone have experience or have been asked to submit DS5540, the public charge regulations given the green light last week by the US Supreme Court? There was no mention of this either but a new form DS5540 has already been issued for this purpose.

Q3: Does anybody know of anyone who has actually been denied because of having previously resided in the U.S. with no status even after the 10 year bar had already passed/expired?

No one does.  Packet 4 is the interview letter.  Only k1 get packet 3 which is sent via email.

Check the upper forums for info on the 5540. Theres more info there.

No.
