SSN issuance via I-765

Hi,

After a little advice.

Received my EAD & AP combo card on the 21st Feb 2020 based on a EB-1C AOS. Been sitting here waiting for the SSN to arrive in the post. As of today, still nothing. 

Check the copy of the submitted I-765 form and can clearly that the boxes to state I have never been issued a SSN, I want a SSN issues and I give disclosure.

Called USCIS, that was almost comical as the poor guy read back from a prompt telling me I am indeed allowed to apply for a SSN and sorry he cannot be more help. Then called the SSA. Gave my information that they asked for only to be told that they have no pending application for me.

 

Could this just be a timing issue? Any idea how long the SSN's take to get to the SSA in 2020?

You can take your EAD card to the SS office and apply  for your ss card

The combo card automatically issues a SS number. It should be about 2-4 weeks to get a number.
