Hi All,

 

My mom just got her immigrant visa approved today HOWEVER it is in contingency. The consulate have not yet received the medical exams result to finalize the process (electronic process). My mom had tuberculosis 30 years ago. She is current healthy and not TB positive but tuberculosis leave a "scar" in the lungs which showed in the xray. Have any of you experience your parent visa been denied because the tuberculosis history? or have any of you experience in this topic to share? I cant take 2 weeks of unknown.

I remember seeing at least once case very similar to this.  The issue was resolved by presenting past medical records showing the disease had been treated in the past.  Worst case scenario is that she will have to undergo sputum tests.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

i had scars from bronchitis on my lungs. Had to go through sputum tests. after 6 weeks got my fiance visa.

2015 05 19 : Interview - PASSED (K-1 Visa Approved)


2015 08 19 : Arrived U.S.


2015 10 30 : Married :dance:

11/05/2015: AOS Package Mailed


11/07/2015: AOS Delivered


11/15/2015: NOAx3 text and email received


11/18/2015: NOAx3 received via mail date 11/10/2015


11/26/2015: Received biometrics letter scheduled for 12/10/2015


12/10/2015: Biometrics completed


01/08/2016: Case status update I-485 "New card being produced"


01/10/2016: Case status update I-485 "Case approved"


01/12/2016: Case status update I-485 "My Card was mailed to me"


01/13/2016: Case status update I-485 "My Card picked up by USPS


01/15/2016: GREENCARD IN HAND!! DONE FOR NOW!!!
