Hello I just wanna ask for help and advice.Im already married here in US last Valentines day but I am divorced in Norway 2015.. It was not registered in the Philippines thats why my CENOMAR shows no record at all. My divorce was filed by my Norwegian ex. If we are going to report our marriage are there still things we need to do? Even its not recorded in the Philippines.Thank you so much!

Not that I am aware of because you never filed for ROM with your ex-husband.

BTW I moved this to the Philippines subforum for better answers

We  will be doing AOS now.and then Report of Marriage. I saw that there are forms needed for divorce. Even my divorce happened in Norway and wasnt recorded in the Philippines. Will i still need to go that Recognition of divorce process?

Does your marriage certificate show as you being married before?

No there is nothing special you need to do.   Complete the form(s), provide the support documents as listed on the consulate website .. then submit it all .. that is all you can do.

My marriage certificate here in US no.. but to the form for report of marriage ill put divorced

even my CENOMAR is single..no changes even on my surname.

Not sure how the consulate/PSA will react with this, your situation is very unique.^^

Fact is you have a CENOMAR and not a CEMAR ... so if they handle it all based on the facts there should be no issue completing ROM.

And ... for sure report back as we would truly appreciate

No.   Your marriage was never reported to the Philippines, so no need for the Recognition process

Really i have a very unique case because my marriage in Norway lasted only for one week.. then he divorced me already. So i never had the chance to change and report everything..😔

A sad ending.  But with a nice upside at this time in your life.  ;)

Someone i knew had a similar experience. Don't report your marriage in the Philippine Consulate. as if you do, you'll need to pay for Late registration as well as Annulment of said marriage. If your CENOMAR is clear, just report your current marriage and don't mention the old one.

** with that I agree, in regards to the Philippines only.
