RFIE - birth certificate - maybe translation

I have received a REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE for my AOS application for a birth certificate. I did include a copy of the birth certificate with the application, but without translation. Is that what the RFIE is about? (If so, I wish they would just say that!!) As far as I can tell, the birth certificate (Mexico) meets the requirements (state govt. civil registry doc, with seal, signature, bar codes, registration numbers, and names of both parents). I don't know if this is a "long-form" birth certificate or not - it is one 8.5-by-11 inch page. So, if you are missing a translation, is this the kind of RFIE they send?

USCIS requires all documents to be in English and have a certification statement.  I would say that, yes, that is certainly a reason for an RFIE....be aware that your I-765 is also halted.

I received an RFE as well (I had errors in my translation)

The green birth certificate will suffice as long as at least 1 parent is listed.  Mexico long form actually lists grand parents and sometimes witnesses.

The green is technically an "extract" but meets the requirements requested by USCIS.

YOU NEED IT TRANSLATED.  I sent in with my RFIE response  original birth certifcates (we bought like 10 before leaving mexico) and a certified translated copy.

Attached image is the certificate we sent in for my wife and stepson, available at mexican consulates here in the US.  get it teanslated.

That is the exact form I sent with my package with translation and we just got a RFE that we didn't send the correct birth certificate. Did you have any other issues?
