i want to ask about the I-864 form LINE 25 . DO i have put just tax returns for only the recent year or for the 3 last year ?

They are only optional. If you are not submitting the last 3 years, only write in the amount you claimed for 2006 in the space provided. You will not need to write in 2005 and 2004 amounts if you are not submitting the tax info.

just according to theLINE 25 it doesn't say optional ....in your case did you put just the last recent year?

I think you need to fill in the past 3 years but are only required to submit tax transcripts for the last year. I submitted all 3 years tax transcripts cause it can't hurt.

Fill in all three lines and then decide whether you will submit one or three tax returns. Check the top box if sending one tax return or transcript or chech the bottom box if sending three.

I'll second that -- write the amount on all three lines, even if you are only submitting one. As pushbrk says, check the appropriate box which corresponds to the number of returns you are sending.

Yes I only completed the 2006 tax amount. I'm not concerned with it being a problem. But if it would make you feel more comfortable, you could put all 3. Best of luck to you!
