You did not filled that outside processing case in uscis website? It is really a long time

I did, multiple times actually, so did many other Seattle combo filers who are still currently waiting for both their I751 from 2017 and N400 from 2018. All they said was that it was still within the range and I needed to wait while they continued to process it. We also contacted state representatives and senators. The reality is that filing outside the normal processing range is of very little power. You are telling the person, the agency in power that your case is outside of normal processing range. But it's up to them to decide if my case is outside of normal processing range. In this case, they regard filing of N400 an acceptable cause of the delay of I-751. Because also according to their policy, if you apply for N400 after I751, they will not hand you a 10-year green card. And therefore I have to wait till the N400 is done. But N400 was also affected by I751 itself. Because N400 does not start processing until some I751 works are sorted out. Back then when I was applying, people were saying on this forum that filing N400 could speed things up. So a lot of people did the combo filing. The case turned out not so great for Seattle filers. Our I751s were transferred to NBC, sitting there for years waiting for Seattle office to request transfer. Combo filers require officers who have the authority to conduct interview on both cases instead of what they normally do (N400 officers do naturalization interviews, while I751 officers do theirs), which also delayed the process. If you call USCIS customer service, all their representatives (except one, who told me the truth) will tell you that I-751 and N400 are separated cases and will never interfere with each other (false). I was finally scheduled an interview by Seattle office for 3/10 this year. However one week before my interview the Seattle office shut its doors due to one person working there being suspected of getting coronavirus. I was subsequently rescheduled for 4/24. After they opened their doors out of surprise ahead of time on 3/11, I was rescheduled again (moved ahead) to 3/24. Days before 3/24, USCIS decided to close their doors. So I was scheduled interviews 3 times and unfortunately none came to fruit. Right now I'm back to waiting and hoping that after this virus thing is over I can finally get it done. It's the last step, and I've been longing for this for years. So much stress and worrying. I'm sure many of you guys here can understand that feeling. It's not easy. And frankly I never really thought of the slightest possibility that it can drag this long. When I filed for I485 after marrying my spouse, it took 9 months for me to get a green card. Even that felt like a long time back then in 2015. The me back in 2017 could have never, ever imagined myself still waiting for I-751 and N400 today. This process really trains one's patience. Because if you are a combo filer in Seattle, you will need lots and lots of patience to get through these 3 years without feeling given up.

USCIS has gotten very slow, sadly.

If you reach your 3 year mark as an LPR and don't have your new green card you can still file for citizenship (N-400).  Include a copy of your NOA1, USCIS will then adjudicate your I-751 and N-400 together. ;)

Great information
