Same exact thing happened to me, embassy sent them the NOS again and again but no response. Then in December the system got updated showing that the NOS is received in October.

I don't know that but there is a backup thing that you can do.

USPS has a mail forwarding system. You can forward your mails to a friend's address.

Do you know how long it took for them to update the NOS in the system after the last one was sent?

My NOS was sent in June 2021, in November they finally responded to my second email saying that they don't have my NOS. My embassy sent a new one over 9 weeks ago and I just don't want to wait another 5 months and then have DOS telling me that they don´t have it again.

I received favorable recommendation yesterday. My O1 visa has been RFE'd for the waiver. Would love to hear when other people got their letters after the FR.

As far as I know, you don't need a waiver for O1 visa 🙄 Am I wrong?

Even I thought so after listening to two lawyers. However,  I just got a RFE for the J1 waiver. So apparently not.

The funding source memo went to the organization that sponsors my postdoc. I dont know how they responded but they sure did a good job.

Yes,

The last NOS was sent on December 7th and I think it was after 2 weeks that my progress has been updated. 

But I don't even know it was because of that, because it shows the NOS was received on October 7th. Probably, they took the first one as basis.

 

So sorry they lost your first NOS 😕

Required docs updated Jan 25, NOS 1 week later but dated Jan 24
