Probably Recd at Missouri office by 16 or 17 Oct.

MoneyOrder cashed on 20 Oct.

 

No update until now. I think we are the three people with recent submissions. Could you tag all of us in each update you may have in future?

Finally, FR sent.

I mailed all docs May end. NOS sent by embassy August. NOS showed up on the website mid-October but dated July.

I contacted the DoS 3 times via email, no replies.

Contacted a congressman to ask DoS for update and expedition, if possible. They responded that NOS cases cannot be expedited but did not say anything specific on the case status. Just that, this case will be processed in our first-in first-out format.

Saw the update this morning.

Now, wait for USCIS to do its thing!

Got my notice of action i797 with case number in it. Took roughly 2 weeks from FR just like others. 

USCIS says final approval i612 mailed to my home address on 22nd Dec. Will probably receive it tomorrow or day after.

After a long wait I finally received favorable recommendation from DOS today! Couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas present 😄 

 

I sent my documents early April 2021 and my home country Embassy only took a week to mail the NOS. After waiting more than 16 weeks I reached out to a congressman for help. I received government funding (NIH) which delayed things an extra month. Hope USCIS processing won’t take as long 😅

I just got my FR today! Sent documents on August 2 and the rest of the timeline you can see below.

Congrats to everyone. I got my J1 waiver from USCIS a week ago. I will like to stay in the US but I was unable to get an H1B sponsor. Does anyone mind sharing what their next steps are? I was thinking school. Thanks Everyone.

Dear members,
Finding this forum has taken a break from my daily stress and drive to look at the DOS information page on the status of my waiver request.

The request was sent to St. Luois on 11/10/2021, on 11/14/2021 they made the collection of fees. The embassy sent the No Objection on 10/11/2021 but there is no information on the DOS page.

I have requested information from the email that they put on the DOS WEB but they have not answered.

Welcome to the club  Myself and at least 3-4 other members submitted their documents to St. Louis 4-6 weeks earlier than you. We are waiting since then for the record to show up on the DoS website. You gotta wait...

You earlier mentioned that a cap exempt employer would be sponsoring you H1B. What happened with it? What is your highest educational degree? Area of Study?

Unfortunately the position was cancelled. my ds2019 expired june 2021. I am hoping to file a B2 extension while I search for another job.
