FR received today.

Congrats!!!

May I ask if there was a specific reason that DOS sought for the sponsor view? I wonder this is a standard procedure for everybody. Some don't have that sponsor view item on their query page.

Basically, should I expect to see that on my timeline?

Just posting my timeline in case others find it helpful. FR issued yesterday, 3 months after the processing time started accruing. I was getting anxious because my DS2019 expires on Dec 31 and I accepted a faculty job offer to start in January. Submitting a congressional inquiry may have helped. Let's see how long it takes until I get all the paperwork with the final decision.

Wow! Congrats!!! This is quite faster than what I have seen on this forum so far.

Do you think the congressional inquiry worked in your way? This is the first time I've seen it on J-1 waiver portal query.

Thanks. That's why I decided to post my situation. I guess it's likely that people post more when there are delays. I got a little freaked out by reading the massive delays some have reported here -- and hope they get their situation sorted out soon.

The congressional inquiry may have been helpful -- it is definitely worth a try, and I was lucky that the staff of my local congressman is helpful and friendly. They hadn't heard anything from DOS until Monday, when I followed up with the congressman office, and they told me they would follow up with DOS immediately.

Congratulations.. When you contacted your Congressman. I contacted 2 weeks before. Can you tell me what documents you submitted for other?

Good to know that! Thanks!

I did such an inquiry through the state's senator's office, then DOS updated my status on the portal. But, I guess going through the congressman's office is much more effective to get results.

Congrats again on your job and waiver case!

I contacted them on September 30 and they were quick to submit an inquiry. I have no idea what was submitted as other -- that's probably linked to the congressional inquiry given the date.

Congratulations! Definitely faster than many of us here! I believe it’s a new thing that congressional inquiry is shown in the portal, I saw 2 or 3 in the past days. Unfortunately in my case nothing showed up so far (contacted congressman late September as well)
