Mine is not India, so I wouldn't know. I would maybe send an email to see what they say. Or you could just have it resent. Not sure.

Thanks. I am thinking to wait a bit before asking Embassy to send NOS again (Sent an email to DOS, let see if they reply, last time they replied after 1 month). Keep me posted on any update from your side. I will do the same.

Hi Chemres, How do u know that ur NOS was sent to DoS from Embassy? You can email to embassy and ask if they have sent NOS or not? They can answer you by informing the “date & serial number”. Then you can email to DoS the same information.
you would have a copy of NOS that you had received from Embassy of India, Washington.!! You can attach that one too in email to DoS.
You can consider doing this if there is any time restraint.
Otherwise,  you can wait for a while.

Thanks for your suggestion. My DS 2019 will end on Oct 31with a month grace period and I am very worried now. I will contact the Embassy and let see what happens. Hope to get it soon. It is so frustrating.

Oh...! Ds2019 expiration date is Oct 31st,2020.. right..!! Then u have 1 month grace (till 30 November, 2020). Keep in mind DoS will take at least 1 month for FR then USCIS might take 2-3 weeks for final approval. I’m assuming other than NOS rest of ur documents are already received and updated on DoS.  I think you can contact Embassy describing them your situation and request them to re-send if haven’t sent yet. Once ur Complete application is Update on DoS Online portal, consider contacting a local congressman. If they write on ur behalf to DoS, it might be helpful to expedite ur review process at DoS.
Hope it would help.

Hi,

Yes I have received the DOS recommendation (in the self addressed mail) on September 4th and this uscis receipt I797c on September 8th.

The status on uscis website is still pending and it shows they have received my case on September 1st.
