Hi,

Yes its Indian embassy Washington. Iike many other cases my NOC update on DOS took month. I contacted embassy initially, they said they sent my NOC they provided details. With those details I contacted DOS, but got very standard reply stating its take time to update on there website. I waited as I am not hurry (my DS2019 will expire in July 2021). After 25 days i.e. on Nov 3rd 2020 its showed received.

Hope it will help you...

@Warrior2720

Could you please tell me how you contacted the Embassy? I called the number on their website and nobody received ( I called daily for over two weeks) and I emailed them at the email address provided on their site and the emails bounced back.

I am panicking since it has been two months that they sent the NOS and yet it doesn't show up on DOS's website

Thanks a lot for your reply !

Dear Members,

I went through some of the earlier post on the forum with respect to the processing times for the J1 waiver by DOS. The documents with respect to the J1 Waiver were delivered on the 6th Jan, 2021 and No objection certificate issued by the Embassy was sent to the DOS on the 22nd Jan, 2021. However, even now I don't see the case being created on the J1 waiver status page and it shows "Currently, there is no information regarding the status of your case". I thought the documents are updated within 4 weeks and the no objection certificate update takes another month or so to show up. Can anyone give me a rough estimate about how long the above steps took for them ?

For my case, it took 7 weeks for the website to update your information about the case.

I got my package delivered on Nov 17 but only saw information on the website on Jan 3rd.

Hope this is useful info for you.

Hi Members

I need help regarding the USCIS process. I was under the impression that we send all documents to the DOS and it send whatever to the USCIS who sends us a letter in the mail saying they have waived the 212 (e).

But in order to file the I-612 do we need to open a case with the USCIS after receiving a FR from the DOS or how does that go?

Thanks

My DS2019 will be fully expired at the end of this May after 36 months of Academic Training.

My company is filing me H1B this year (not selected last year) and PERM concomitantly thus I will need to be waived if i want to keep the position but nobody can guarantee anything.

Based on everyone's discussion, I may have a quick result from DoS. Let's see even though I strongly doubt it.

My embassy showed to send my NoS on December 18 but nothing appeared on the system.

May all of us get waived and approved real soon.

Any update on your case?
