Hi everyone!

It is nice to know this forum.

My waiver application timeline as below.

I would like to ask for your comments that my NOS is not listed. Will it mean i have to wait until they list it and show "received/requested" to know that my embassy hasn't acted yet?

Thanks for your time.

Hope we all got waived.

Thanks for your reply, @Vincee

I do understand if NoS received, it will be shown the received date.

My question was, from DoS' website, that has anyone seen NoS (requested) shown on their timeline which indicates the NoS is not delivered by the embassy.

If the NoS shown being requested in the timeline, applicants can know that either the embassy hasn't sent it or maybe it gets lost.

Hello

I have applied for a J1 waiver and sent all the documents to the Indian Embassy and DoS on 25th November.

USPS shows package was received by DoS on 28th November and money order was cashed on 2nd December 2020

Embassy sent me a NoS on 5th December but even now the DoS website shows no update on my case.

It says no information is available about my case number.

Could  someone please tell me if this is something normal or do they update it as soon as they have cashed the money order?

I emailed the 212waiver address in the first week of December and they said they did not have my application as it is sent to them after the office in St. Louis receives it.

@KYZ no idea about J1 Hardship waiver. I have a question regarding your timeline. Do you have an idea what was RECEIVED for "Other" on your timeline?

We submitted some extra evidence a couple of months ago in support of the hardship application. I guess this is an acknowledgment of receipt. We did also receive and email a couple of days after we submitted those documents, acknowledging that as well...

Hi all, any recent success stories for J1 Hardship at DOS? Trying to understand the timeline. I am well beyond their published processing time (16-24 weeks). the DOS has my case (I-612-/I-613) since May 11, 2019 (almost 35 weeks)! 1621185991_ScreenShot2021-01-08at11_12_54AM.thumb.png.9e104469b50858726018087bbd761bfb.png

Wow, You just scared me. What did they take so long? Did you email them?

Here is my timeline: This is crazy, I sent them 3 emails so far, every time they kept telling me it takes 16 to 24 weeks, what the heck are they doing? It's so unfair. I wish you and myself luck :( JJJ.thumb.png.43ec17d572f4da724a00d9c82ebe318c.png
