J1 waiver 2020 NOS update timeline

hello all,

I have favorable recommendation on 03/31/2022, but no further update yet.

Can I change J1-sponsor now and go to the new position before I get actual waiver from USCIS? Then Later use this waiver for H1B.

DoS says the applications are processed in first-in first-out queue. But, I don't think that's true. Don't know why they are giving such a hard time to some applicants. It's so frustrating..

Although requested/sent look weird for sponsor views.

 

Usually it's 1) Request for Sponsor Views - Sent and  2) Sponsor Views - Received

I did contact them and talked to them on the phone.

But the recommendation and hard copy arrived before we could do anything yet.

I sent my documents on November 11th and I am still waiting for the recommendation. It is really annoying and frustrating to see that people got their recommendation even tough they sent their document in January. I am really wondering what cause a delay on some of our cases. Is it DS2019 end date? They keep saying that first come first serve but that obviously wrong. It took six months to upload the documents. I am really tired of this.

I am in your same situation. I sent all documents in November and they marked as received in March 22.

As I mentioned earlier, the processing looks like random, so don't put too much emotions on it.

 

I sent my documents in October, and got update for all the documents received at 3/21, which they probably had in November.

At 4/22, I finally got FR sent.

I think you will get it soon.

All my documents were received at 3/14. No organization, no order at all. It is just annoying.

My docs were received Jan 11 and there is no update whatsoever. Whenever I try to email I get a dismissive reply saying “no action is required on your part at this time,” which is annoying, because it’s not like I’m kicking back and relaxing here. I’m about to lose my job offer…

 

People who are delayed more than others in this thread: did you state any kind of urgency in your statement of reason? I didn’t, because I thought there was plenty of time. I’m wondering if that affected anything.
