Posting my timeline here even though it was NOT favorable. I don’t mean to alarm anyone.

I knew I had very small chances with a No Objection Waiver being a Fulbright Scholar. I thought I had a really strong Statement of Purpose and support from my employer. I sent all the documents on March 15th 2021.

Does anyone know if there’s anything else I could do at this point?

Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Feel bad for you, this hurts. Quick question: are you still a Fulbright? or after completing Fulbright you spent some time in your home country?

No. I switched to an O1 a couple years ago. I spent some months in my home country since then. Does anybody know how diligent they are when proving that you have already reside the 2 years?

No, still no letter here either. I emailed them and asked about it, but haven't heard anything yet. Have you reached out to them?

No, I haven't reached out - I don't need the letter at this point in time. It seems to me that the only occassion where posession of the physical letter would be required is to respond to a RFE from USCIS.

Very diligent, to the point of days. I had a colleague who got denied for a visa because he had a few days left out of his 2year term...

I read somewhere on the forum that USCIS take 30 days to issue waiver. But there are several cases where the USCIS waiver was received just in a week. Did you get DoS FR?

I would also like to know my NoS is updated on website on March 13, 2021. Does DoS updates on the website the FR or it just says recommendation sent?

Based on screenshots posted by others, the table shows recommendation "sent", and the status panel (with label "Advisory Opinion Finding") on the top-left indicates " Favorable Recommendation" if it's favorable.

Hi Everyone,

I applied for J1 waiver in October 2021. I did not see any information on the DoS website till February 2022. So, I contacted the congresswoman explaining my case and she contacted the DoS. After two days I got a reply from Congresswoman that they did not received the NoS from Washington DC and gave me an another case number to track on DoS website. This case number shows that they have received all the documents including NoS from Washington DC that was updated the same day Congresswomen replied me.

The case number I got after creating the packet does not show anything yet. Has anyone else encountered the same thing. The DoS gave another case number to track the documents.

Regards

Rims

@etcoflife Wow. Congrats! I don't think DoS would send you hard copy of the decision.

What is your DS-2019 end date?

Could you please post screenshot of your timeline, please?
