May I ask if there was a specific reason that DOS sought for the sponsor view? I wonder this is a standard procedure for everybody. Some don't have that sponsor view item on their query page.

Anyone can share when the "change of address" was reflected on the website with respect to DoS receiving the letter with the request.

 

I've submitted my "change of address" and the letter was received almost two weeks ago, however the web-site is silent about my request.

Is it better idea to get a letter from the institute and send to DOS through email or mail?

I have filled-in the online form at DoS and then mailed the printed form as per their instructions.

When you request an address change, do you mail two self-addressed, stamped legal-size envelopes? Because the other envelopes have our old addresses. Thank you!

No. I plan to rely on USPS to redirect my correspondence to a friend in US.

I also applied for the J-1 waiver and sent my documents on May 21st (delivered May 26th). They updated my documents on the system on July 6th. NOS was sent by the Embassy on June 15th. However, I haven't seen any update on my NOS on the system so far. Does anyone have similar situation like me? Or do you usually see updates soon after your NOS sent? Thanks!

I know that this thread is huge and it is really difficult to make sense of it. There were some posts showing the same situation.

 

My embassy sent the NoS at the end of May, and, to date (20+ weeks), the website doesn't show the NoS as received. Similar to your case, the other documents were posted on July 6th. I've requested the embassy to resend the NoS in July, in the hope that this will fix the situation. They resent it, however this didn't help either.

 

I would also like to add, that there were messages on this board saying that after the NoS is marked as received the Favorable Recommendation (FR) came quite fast (1-2 weeks tops).

I see! I was thinking to ask the embassy to resend  NOS.  It is sad to see that it didn't change anything
