Here is some info on the amnesty program from last year...they have them every 6 months or so, or they did, Maybe it's just once a year, but that would be the time, read below.

The Ministry of Justice on March 14 said the amnesty period for foreign nationals in the country illegally to voluntarily leave will end late this month.

After a holding a discussion on measures cracking down on visa overstays, the ministry said those without proper visas who voluntarily leave during the amnesty period will not face entry bans regardless of how long they have illegally stayed.

Violators caught during the period face deportation and an entry ban of up to ten years. Those who overstay can still depart after this month via the Korea Immigration Service's 19 offices nationwide, but will not be exempt from an entry ban.

During the last amnesty period from October last year to February this year, 34,000 visa violators voluntarily left the country, with Thais comprising most of them. Second were Chinese, followed by Kazakhs, Russians and Vietnamese.

I think the amnesty thing is going on right now, but double check with immigration. I was in at immigration 3 weeks ago to renew my visa (Busan, SK). They had a big poster sign up talking about being able to freely leave, you will not have to have a fine or penalty.

If you were here legally on a visa for awhile, hopefully you can at least obtain a certificate for that time once you get back home.

Can you apply for Police certificate online ? Although you should be living in SK legally, I don't really know your situation for doing so.

I applied for an Australian police certificate and I don't remember them asking for visa details. Go on that path of you're absolutely desperate.

Hello Ryan!

Please can you explain better, i don't get it clearly.

Thanks.

He moved your post from one section of the forum to another section where it fit better. The mods keep the forum organized. Nothing you need to do. They usually leave 'notes' with postings they move- thats all it was.
