I'm trying again yep, I looked afterwards in the facebook group and someone literally asked and straight away they got "yeah we can see youre in vermont" so it was just the agent being incompetent or lazy I think

Sounds like that to me too, some agents just don't care to do any actual work at all and will say whatever they can to get you off their line so they don't have to actually look at anything, have had a couple of those on the phone too before our petition got approved. When one agent told me that there had been no update at all on my case and that we were still months before the processing time, and I told her "well the last agent we talked to a few days ago said it had been touched a couple weeks ago on [date].." she laughed! Jokes on her we were approved probably a week or two later :P I think she really was just too lazy to check and just assumed!

You were 100% correct!

I tried with a second person, they told me "oh you'll have to give me time to find that out" the other person didn't care. Turns out I'm at Texas!!!! WoohOoo!!!

USCIS agent being incompetent. I asked them to tell me what my service center is. They said "look at your notice", I told them "I have seen people online being told their service center by the live agent" they told me "I can't look into where you are."

😕

They tried the same with me. I just started a new chat and got a different person and they told me immediately.

Hello,

I noticed that many of you have filed I130, and 129F.... Should I do the same? I am married, and that's why I only filed  130, but its okay to file 129F?

A lot of us realized its pointless if you e-file. Do not worry though theyre rightfully distributing cases out so Nebraska is faster.

I don’t understand what’s going on. I checked 5 before and 5 after my case # (starts with LIN). Several have been “transferred to another center” around late February timeframe (Feb 26 to 28), except mine and another one. My PD is May 10, 2019. And it’s an IR5. 🤔

Well. After my complaint here on VJ (I like to think due to prayers of fellow VJ members 🙏), I finally saw some movement. My file has been transferred... apparently. No idea where to though.

“On March 9, 2020, we transferred your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number LIN1990XXXXXX, to another office for processing and sent you a transfer notice.”

At this point too many people have different stories of calling/ chatting etc.. so I’m not even going to bother finding out if ours has been transferred or not. In the end might result in the same delay. On a separate note, Haven’t seen any July approvals lately though..

Me and my wife have been revitalized by this Texas Service Center news... I'd recommend doing it if youre that agnostic towards it.
