Read the te t. It says you are “refused” until AP is complete and you will then receive another adjudication.

All that has happened is that the wording used on CEAC has changed. AP following a 221(g) now shows “refused”, which is factually correct - the visa has been refused for now, and you have been given a chance to change that upon satisfactory submission of certain documents. This is yo distinguish from “standard AP” that everyone goes through after interview which includes printing the visa.

I will see if I can find the link about this change.

Hello! My fiance recently got an email that his visa was ready to be issued and we needed to submit some updated documents. When we check on our case status online, it says "Refused". Is this because they need those documents or is it refused all together?

Please any one have an explanation for this message that appeared today?

I sent a regular query to the embassy today asking about the status of my visitor visa ( as i am  being 9 months in Administrative processing) , they replied by saying you are still undergoing AP and you dont have to send queries regularly.

Is that a final refusal or WHAT? please any hope?

UPDATE: This morning I was marked as refused with no date change.  Now it has refused with today's date.  Did anyone else's date change to today?

Have you recently tried contacting the embassy at all? Sometimes when you contact them they take a quick look at your case to answer your question, and that can cause your last updated date to change.

It seems there might be a glitch happening with the system based on what I'm seeing on the forums.

Some one can correct me if I've missed something in my scanning of the forum yesterday and this morning.

Did you finance receive anything at the interview or was he told he was approved?

He had his interview last year and he got an email saying his visa was approved but we need to submit a few more documents since the ones from last year are now expired.  A few people told me that this is the 221g and it's normal? Not sure tho..

It is normal.......but visas are not actually approved until all documents are received, and all additional checks and reviews are complete......"Refused" can be temporary or final.....My wife received a 221g at her interview for a divorce document.  The status immediately updated to "Refused".....2 days after submitting the document, the status changed to "Issued"....good luck.

In 2017, my wife was given a 221g at her interview pending an original divorce certificate.  The status immediately changed to "Refused".....the 2 days after submitting said certificate, it changed to "Issued".......

According to my status and everyone in all of my groups on Facebook and many people here, it seems this morning CEAC switched those in administrative processing, specially those issued a 221g, to refused. Most have not had a change in date. It is very possible that this is just a systemwide glitch. No lawyer has any answers so we will wait and see what happens in the next days.  Just hoping this is a new procedure. Who else saw this?

so what we need to do ? or  what happen  cuz its almost all ap ceac have refused so can anyone know ?
